Would love to develop this idea in community! What do you think about this???

If you are comfortable enough why not tether your yarn in the mycelial web. You yarn is your relational hyphae. It’s not just important to you. It’s important to the overall social engagement system (SES). This is our shared nervous system.

Respond to a catalyst. A catalyst can be anything. An idea, a movie, a question you have. Book or podcast. Whatever!
Record response*. Get as creative as you like. Play music, capture soundscapes. Capture conversations with friends or strangers. Always under enthusiastic consent. Also be sure to show your group the edited version before you post anything. Never be offensive. Always be considerate. Explore tension and defuse it. Compost it. DO NOT FEED TENSION.
Make a substack. It can take 10 minutes or three months… Use your imagination, infuse it with your passion and personality. Don’t worry, we are always a work in process. Don’t take it too seriously. Enjoy it. Share when and where you feel comfortable. Some people will not feel comfortable sharing, and that is completely okay, totally understandable. We want them in this too as quiet contributors. Recorded conversations are obviously voluntary. But I see them as crucially important in scaling up the conversation and reimagining of our social engagement system. The more the merrier.
Make a PODCAST post on your substack. This is what this post is. The audio appears at the top. It doesn’t have to be brilliant. And any question is valid. Often silly questions are best! Short and sweet is good. Make concise points. Develop how to express what’s uniquely yours. I thought no more than 11min and 11 seconds but there are no hard rules**
SHARE. Use links to all your references. Post comments with link to your substack post. Bring the community into your atmosphere. Write a few lines on your comment to spark curiosity and invite folks in. Please be sure to share here.. I’m going to try to see how threads work. Ideally we want to create a digital mesh network that we can explore… Imagine the social engagement system mapped out like a mycelium network. Can anyone help build that???

*Use any recording device you can find. Smartphones have voice memo. That’s good enough. You can use a basic editor on a smartphone too. Mac has garage band. You can download free sound editing software pretty easy.

**I this idea that 11mins 11seconds is a good length… so we’re concentrating our thoughts. But of course there are no rules. Make it as long as you like. Maybe we could make unedited versions and then edited versions of 11mins? What do you think?
